One of my favorite memories with my dad was catching the AFC Championship at an ex-pat bar in Paris on the way back from a big trip abroad. Due to a massive snowstorm happening across the east coast, no airports were open to flights for us back home, so we were given a few “extra” vacation days there on an extended layover to take in the culture and inhale one few too many crêpes. Even still, we felt homesick so finding a place to watch the game was something we agreed to do after a full day of sightseeing. We did some digging and found a petite little place in the 5th Arrondissement called Wide Open Spaces that was playing the game. Upon getting there we stumbled into a sea of Buffalo Bills Colossal Stainless Steel Insulated Tumbler and a splash of blue ones waving upon the wooden floors. Everyone’s eyes were affixed to the TV mounted towards the top-left corner, and each nursed a pint of Stella that I still remember to be quatorze euro per.

I’ll get downvoted to Hell for this but I don’t care. No, I cannot “reasonably understand” him choking anyone. He has kids and a fiancé and a career. I’ve enjoyed watching him play this year but if he is choking people then he can fuck right off and trade in his jersey for some Buffalo Bills Colossal Stainless Steel Insulated Tumbler far away from this roster. I’m not gonna denounce Tyreek Hill because he is on the Dolphins and not denounce this guy because he is on the Patriots. Some things are more important than football and assaulting other human beings is one of them.
()For me, it was the Edelman catch. You know which one. Before that, I thought Julio wrapped up the Super Bowl. Signed sealed and delivered. It was his moment for Super Bowl glory if Atlanta could just cash in on the field goal. But then… sack, penalty and low and behold, Brady has the ball again. When the play to Edelman happened and the ref ran in and signaled a catch, and we actually saw the replay, both my dad and I immediately said it was their Buffalo Bills Colossal Stainless Steel Insulated Tumbler moment. I was almost sure they were going to come back. Brady started making some throws that were gutsy as hell. We both talked about one to Hogan along the left sideline. It was just a simple hook that he barely got to before the defender. From the camera angle behind Brady, it looked like a 50/50 ball almost, but he trusted/knew his receiver could get it.
