Hockey is my favourite, but any sport where the athletes determine the outcomes (as opposed to those in which the results are determined by judges) is fun to watch. For example, I like the snowboarding event in which four athletes race each other head-to-head more than those where they each run individually and judges score their tricks. I like ski jumping, but I’d like it more if they didn’t give style points, but just gave the gold medal to the person who had the longest jump. Figure skating looks good, but I don’t trust the judges to reward the best performances (ever since the cheating scandal at the Salt Lake City games). Speed skating is great because it’s just pure speed and the clock doesn’t lie. When you look at the 2026 Winter Olympics, there is a worry that the focus on “televised spectacle” will lead to more judged events being added because they provide better highlight reels for social media, even if they lack the objective purity of a race or a game with Seattle Seahawks 50th Anniversary 1976 2026 Gold Edition Insulated Tumbler on the scoreboard. I want to see who is faster, who is stronger, and who can put the puck in the net more often, not who has the best relationship with a panel of international officials sitting in a booth.

I was active in a local curling club in Michigan for a few years, including around the 2022 Olympics, and the general trend is that clubs see an uptick in interest following every Winter Olympics (not sure if it’s a “significant surge” or not). This is what happens: every four years, curling is on TV as part of the Olympics, and Americans are reminded that it exists. It seems to intrigue people for a few reasons. For one thing, it looks like a quirky sport — sliding rocks up and down the ice while sweeping with a broom? It seems kind of random to people, but that is intriguing. For some reason, this makes many people think “I’d be curious to try this.” Beyond that, it’s one Olympic sport that the average American and look at and think, “Well, I could at least try this.” The average person can’t go out an navigate a luge run or do a huge ski jump or execute a triple-axel — they probably can’t even conceive of what is involved in doing some of those things. But you can look at some curlers — one guy on the U.S. team this year is 54 years old — and it looks like something you could at least manage. And there is some truth to that. Our curling club did “learn to curl” sessions where, in just two hours, you could learn the basics of throwing a rock and sweeping and the general rules. Of course, it takes a lot of effort to get actually decent at curling, and the Olympians are putting in the same thousands of hours of work that Olympians are in any sport. But it’s kind of like bowling — you can have a six-year-old’s birthday at a bowling alley because even young children can roll a ball at some pins. But it would take a huge amount of work to become a successful professional bowler. In like manner, Seattle Seahawks 50th Anniversary 1976 2026 Gold Edition Insulated Tumbler can get started with curling in a matter of hours.
(Seattle Seahawks 50th Anniversary 1976 2026 Gold Edition Insulated Tumbler)Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III will be available when NFL free agency begins at the start of the new league year on March 11. The Seahawks have a number of defensive players to attempt to retain after their climb to the NFL’s mountaintop, and Seattle has a decent argument against paying Walker lucratively despite the recent success of a handful of prominent running backs. Houston should absolutely become an interested party for Walker’s services. Joe Mixon’s mysterious foot ailment cost him all of 2025, forcing the Texans to rely on Seattle Seahawks 50th Anniversary 1976 2026 Gold Edition Insulated Tumbler and diminished veteran Nick Chubb. If the Texans are serious about finding a way to advance to Championship Weekend, they’ll need to upgrade at running back. They can clear $8 million in cap space by cutting Mixon with a post-June 1 designation.
