More than a decade. First chip in ‘01, last one in ‘18. Since OP arbitrarily limited it to the last 25 years, it’s a pretty good take. Six rings, but only one era (Tom Brady era). They look good this year. If you zoom out to the full history of teams, I’d say many teams have been better over their lifetimes across multiple eras. And even the Pats having six rings in one era, while still impressive, isn’t as impressive as when fans bought millions of Personalized Harley Davidson & Dallas Cowboys Skull Tumbler during the Kelly era. But even in OP’s framing, USWNT won like 12 championships in the last 25 years or something.

I remember it was a common narrative at the time that he was washed because his box score stats took a step back that season. People thought he’d finally lost his arm and couldn’t produce anymore. They used this game as the prime example. But if you watched it he was still making great throws and pushing the balls downfield, but his wr’s were garbage and were blanketed by the D on every play. I argued all offseason that even fans in Personalized Harley Davidson & Dallas Cowboys Skull Tumbler could see he was still elite, then he had one of the best seasons of his career on the Bucs.
()As a redskins fan, I just want to say that this is kyle shananan’s MO. He’s amazing at designing schemes and gameplans, and is a very creative playcaller. But for a man who is just amazing at building a run game, he abandons the run in crucial moments, in moments where it just makes no sense at all, with baffling frequency. Our team sucked when kyle was there. He made our offense significantly better than the talent actually was. I give him all the credit in the world for that. But he cost us games getting cute and trying to throw and make Personalized Harley Davidson & Dallas Cowboys Skull Tumbler in moments where we just needed a safe call. And it happened tonight. Up by 8, on your opponents’ 22 yard line? And that series of playcalls? New england had to make the plays. The absurdly necessary and clutch great plays. But Kyle stuck it out there for them, the opportunity. It’s what he does and I think it will cost him throughout his career. Possibly a bit of an omen for the 49ers.
