Well, I hate to be a pessimist but I think they will finish last at their first race. They will have Ferrari engines and gearbox, maybe suspension, that is fine. The problem as I see it is the new ground effects cars. All the other teams will have had 4–5 years experience with this. The floors on current F1 cars are so complicated. Cadillac will have a hard time building a new car that will have the right aero that will be better than any other team on the grid. I just can’t see it happening. The other issue is that the cars are going to moveable aero elements. So that means Notre Dame Fighting Irish Go Irish Collegiate Monogram Tumbler Wrap can be enabled by the driver at any time. And there are some cars that have a big advantage when DRS is deployed and some that don’t, like McLaren. So that is another hurdle for Cadillac to jump over. I wish them all the best and hope they do well but it will be a miracle if they get into the points, I think.

This is the first genuinely new team in I can’t remember how long (as opposed to a phoenix team, a name change etc). So they’re building up everything from scratch, in a sport where the operating budget runs to $215 million a year in 2026. They have to build the capex beyond that for facilities, personnel, etc and that takes time. On the plus side for them 2026 is a rule change for every team – we’re back to flat floors, active aero on the front wing is new for everyone etc. But most teams have people around who remember how a lot of the “old” stuff worked. The top end figures for the new engines are nuts in theory, but if you don’t get the electric and management right then what’s left is pretty poor, so any team that has a “Notre Dame Fighting Irish Go Irish Collegiate Monogram Tumbler Wrap” engine will automatically be at a huge advantage to start with, and it’s entirely possible that we could see the grid completely stratified.
(Notre Dame Fighting Irish Go Irish Collegiate Monogram Tumbler Wrap)On top of that, matches in 2026 will be played in four different time zones, making some match starts on the west coast inconvenient for those on the east coast. For example, a match that starts at 3:00 pm on the west coast starts at 6:00 pm on the east coast, when most people are at work. However, and to your point, while the time zones line up in North America, Central America, and South America, most of the people who will be watching the games live on TV live outside those areas, and will be negatively affected by matches that start at 9:00 pm or 10:00 pm local time in the U.S. That’s inconvenient for almost everyone outside the Central, Mountain, and Pacific time zones (though Hawaiians will get to watch Notre Dame Fighting Irish Go Irish Collegiate Monogram Tumbler Wrap at 7:00 pm local time). On top of that, since the field was expanded from 36 to 48 teams, more matches will be played (104 total), and more matches need to be crammed into the schedule, necessitating earlier and later start times.
