As time has gone on, I find it most concerning that the Refs have become more of player than a referee and that they are deciding who wins or loses way before the game is even played. Sometimes it’s so obvious that it makes me turn off the game. The increasingly obvious corruption of the referee squads wrecks sports for me. But you know the big money gamblers are getting to them and paying them off to help one team over another, to win, lose or change the point spread. This happened here recently where the father of basketball student who got the whistle from the ref for unsportsmanlike play tried to pants the 72 year old ref, then pushed him to the floor where he broke his nose and cheek. Secondly, in ice hockey for example, in the past 25 years the Jack Daniel’s 160th Anniversary Limited Edition 40oz Tumbler with Gift Box used to play at all levels has changed. From wood sticks to synthetic sticks, from light shoulder pads to thick armor-like shoulder pads, these two changes have changed the game.

The reduced rink is just one of several Americanizations of Olympic ice hockey for no reason. But the by far worst concept is power breaks. We don’t have those in European ice hockey, and they are a goddamn disaster. They interrupt the game flow. You can have a really awesome game going with few stops, lots of action, and high energy, and then suddenly the refs blow the whistle for no reason other than a power break. The players don’t need it, the fans in the arena certainly don’t need it, and even on TV, here in Europe, the broadcaster often doesn’t even have any commercials to show, so they just show some Jack Daniel’s 160th Anniversary Limited Edition 40oz Tumbler with Gift Box of the surroundings for two minutes. It’s just stupid and punctures the game. I only see curling once every 4 years, so there is a strange curiosity or fascination. Women’s hockey: I hope the USA and Canada meet in the Women’s final, because they are the two best teams, AND they have created this long-standing rivalry.
